Can Aquelix support this sourcing request?
A successful OEM or ODM faucet project needs a controlled brief covering product function, target cost, destination market, ownership of drawings and tooling, materials, finish, branding, packaging, testing, samples and change approval. Aquelix uses the RFQ stage to define which path is appropriate.
Procurement checklist before quotation approval
| Project route | Separate existing-model customization, component changes and new-product development. |
|---|---|
| Ownership and approval | Document drawings, tooling, artwork, approved samples and who can authorize a change. |
| Release criteria | Define required documents, tests, inspection and packaging approval before production release. |
Common sourcing mistakes to avoid
- Calling a packaging change ODM and leaving product responsibility unclear.
- Starting tooling before drawings, ownership and acceptance criteria are approved.
- Allowing production changes through chat messages without updating the controlled specification.

Frequently asked questions
Accuracy note: Availability, certification scope, MOQ, sample timing and production schedule must be confirmed for the exact model and order requirements.
What buyer and plumber discussions add
Community discussions about faucets rarely focus on slogans. They focus on whether a worn cartridge, aerator, hose or seal can be identified and replaced; whether hard water changes maintenance; and whether the product fits without improvised adapters. For OEM and ODM faucets, the quotation should therefore explain both the product and the service plan.
One technical review before the sample order
Ask the supplier to freeze drawings, critical components, tolerances, logo position and change-control rules. Record the result in the controlled specification rather than leaving it in chat messages. If a requirement cannot be confirmed, label it as open before price comparison.
Plan for year two, not only installation day
Require the supplier to assign stable service-part numbers before launch. The packing list should distinguish installed fixtures from maintenance stock, and every replaceable component should point back to the finished model. This is especially important when finishes or internal parts change between seasons.
Practical risk to close
A common avoidable problem is an approved appearance sample that does not control internal components. Reduce that risk with an approved physical sample, installation check, model-level records and a written replacement-parts commitment. Price comparisons should show these inclusions so a cheaper but unsupported quotation is not mistaken for equal value.
